Adding volume to AWS VM

Create volume

Chose Volume Type and size

Then in actions menu choose Attach Volume

Choose instance and click attach

Now connect to VM and type lsblk to check if drive is initialized on guest OS

6.pngCreate file system and mount drive

mkfs –t ext4 /dev/xvdf
mkdir /mounts
mount /dev/xvdf /mounts
